Unfortunately, the coolness and the hipness are all due to the photo, not the artist who made this copy. There are also problems with the copy: observe the uneven eyes, and the flattened lighting, and the focal point play evident in the photo, which the artist didn't copy.

Full marks... to the photographer.

appreciate you being forthcoming about the stock photo...
though if you are going to work off photo the least you can do is get proportions accurate.

other than the eyes which are starting to scare me, I'd say this was a very good piece of work.

Uh...call the witch hunt off! This is his INTERPRETATION of the photo. He didn't get the likeness "dead on" (which may or may not have helped him since that seems to bring on cries of, "photo paintover"! from some of the members here--*paranoia runs rampant*) Anyway, I give it a +5 for interpretation and technique. With practice, Greg could be really good at this!
